[JACKSON, Andrew]. Andrew Jackson with the Tennessee Forces on the Hickory Grounds (Ala.) A.D. 1814. Philadelphia: Breucker & Kessler, lithographers, published by William Smith, n.d. [between 1834 and 1845].
1 p., large folio (28 x 21¾ in.), lithograph on heavy wove paper, inscription at bottom. Slight foxing and tanning to margins, small mend to upper right-hand corner, otherwise in very good condition.
A spectacular equestrian portrait of Old Hickory in full dress uniform astride a prancing steed; at left, a scene showing Jackson's men behind barricades with a billowing American flag, pouring rifle fire at tight ranks of British grenadiers beneath a Union Jack. A very crisp impression with rich darks.
