Tepeapulco, Mexico, 28 October 1719. 1 page folio, with integral address leaf, some pale staining and soiling, quarter calf folding portfolio. Saabedra was the Maestro Provincial de los Frailes Menores de la Regular Orden de San Francisco. Requesting "Evangelical Ministers," to be sent to New Mexico. An early and important historical document, which, according to the list in page 4, was read and revised, by 11 different sites, or locations in Mexico, where the Order of San Francisco was located. -- Num. 6.- Estado que manifiesta las Companias Veteranas que se consideran necesarias para la guarnicion del Territorio de Nuevo Mexico, con expresion de la fuerza, haberes y gratificaciones que deberan tener en lo sucesivo... A table of organization for three companies of Mexican troops assigned to the territory of Nuevo Mexico which describes in detail the numbers, the pay scale, and the cost.
