Additional engraved title, 69 plates, seven folding, text illustrations (lacking at least three plates, a few neat tears in folding plates). Contemporary sheep (worn, boards detached). Provenance: [inscription erased from title] -- Joseph Wakeham (title inscription) -- J.V. Luxmoore, 1843 (engraved title inscription).
The fifth English edition of 'the first presentation of Palladio in English' (Fowler & Baer), with a folding plate of Wren's St Paul's Cathedral. RIBA 2403 (noting that a number of sheets are reissues); Wing P208.
With Joseph Moxon's Mechanick Exercises (London, 1683, vol. II only, defective) retaining numerous plates, and 2 others, including one bearing the ownership inscription of Hartley Coleridge (1796-1849), poet and son of Samuel Taylor Coleridge. (4)
