Additional engraved title with portrait of the author by William Marshall, in excess of 2,000 woodcut illustrations (engraved title cut down and mounted, some mainly marginal browning and waterstaining throughout, stronger towards the end, a few margins frayed). Contemporary calf (covers detached). Provenance: Lt-Col: Lyon of Appleton Hall (bookplate).
