[and] autograph note (unsigned) to De Amicis, n.p., n.d., sending greetings and thanks, on a printed visiting card, framed and glazed with an autograph envelope and a portrait photograph of Verdi.
De Amicis was a lifelong friend of Verdi's, who often carried out small commissions for him. The composer's departure, to which he refers in the letter, was for Paris, where he was to engage the singer Victor Maurel as Iago in Otello. (2)
