Autograph letter signed and two autograph postcards, one signed (the second a fragment, lower margin including signature excised) to Sir John and Lady Durnford, Bateman's, Burwash, 27 October 1908 - 15 June 1914, the first postcard thanking Durnford for a speech, the second, fragmentary, 'I'm glad you liked the verses because, the way I look at it, the King died on service', the letter offering condolences to Lady Durnford, 'one feels as if another bulwark in these dark days had gone down', together 4 pages, various sizes.
