Half title, mounted coloured frontispiece and 39 plates by Arthur Rackham, illustrations, some full-page (short marginal tear to one text leaf). Contemporary pictorial polished calf by Riviere, the upper cover illustrating a scene from the play, spine lettered in gilt, gilt edges (split to head of upper joints, upper joints rubbed, extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: "Derek with love Alice" (inscription on front free endpaper dated 1942). cf. Latimore & Haskell p.32 (citing 1908 edition); cf. Riall p.87.
