Original red quarter morocco with marbled board sides, black label on spine (very slightly rubbed).
An out of series trial copy with a pencilled note at end by David Magee explaining the limitation and that this is the first copy to be bound with another note on front free endpaper by David Magee repeating that this is the first bound copy. The original leaves are as follows: first folio, Merchant of Venice, pp.163-64: second folio, The Life of King Henry the Eight, pp.215-16: third folio, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, pp.649-50: fourth folio, The Life and Death of Richard the Third, pp.198-99.
