The case decorated with geometric strips of ivory inlay and shaped brass mounts at the corners, the facade with an assortment of six panelled drawers with ivory inlaid foliate design centered by a door inlaid with a soldier and his dog flanked by columns surmounted by an ivory gallery, opening to reveal five further drawers and a secret compartment, with a further narrow drawer below, the sides mounted with carrying handles
