A primitive model of the grand banks fishing schooner Bluenose
the hull of the model is built up in wood from the solid, carved to shape and hollowed. The bottom is painted red with a white water line and black topsides, the decks a scored and fitted with anchors, windlass, stacked boats, skylights, deck houses, barrels, capstan and other details. The model is rigged with bow sprit, masts, booms and gaffs, standing and running rigging. Displayed on a simple wood stand
