PARIS 1776/1777, WITH THE CHARGE AND DISCHARGE MARKS OF JEAN-BAPTISTE FOUACHE 1774-1780,
Of slightly tapering rectangular form and flattened oblong section, the cover with pierced inscriptions Souvenir and D'Amitie, the front and reverse with applied gold-framed oval enamels of a bust portrait of a girl and a couple at the altar of love, opening to reveal an ivory tablet -- 3 3/8 in. (8.5 cm.)
