A GEORGE II/III IRISH SILVER SUGAR BOWL,
MARK OF GEORGE HILL, DUBLIN, CIRCA 1760,
Circular with fluted sides & gadroon rim, on collet foot, engraved at a later date with two roundels, one depicting the arms of city of Limerick, the other the arms of The Earl of Hardwicke, & inscribed under rim "The personal gift of Thomas Wilkinson, Sheriff of the City of Limerick to his Excellency Philip Earl of Hardwicke", base inscribed with scratch-weight "8.8", 5 1/8 in. diameter (13 cm.), 8 oz.
