"This huge wine would easily have qualified as a Late Harvest; but being so typical of the best years on Ridge, we decided to give title credit to the vineyard. It is spicy and complex with the character of the old vines. The acid is firm and sets a fine, high balance with the alcohol (15.8. Though not as tannic as our 70 Cabernet, it is a wine to lay away for ten to twenty years. PD & DRB (5/73)"
