"Also typical of the mid-1930 vintages. Prematurely aged though very flavoury and appealing. First nearing its peak 'Some tart bottles in the 1970s. In the 1980, a scent of 'old cellars and boiled fennel'. Overripeness noted again. Four bottles at the Latour tasting in Zurich. Despite top scents, a let-down on the palate. I wrote 'curling like fallen leaves'. Fragrant but piquant, astringent. Last tasted Oct 1994. At best *** and not getting any better." MB,Vintage Wine
