Stamped Richard Wittingham (working circa 1813), New York, first quarter 19th century
Each with a pear-shaped finial above an urn and flaring ring-turned support over a rectangular plinth above a molded base with shaped skirt, on spurred cabriole legs with slipper feet, stamped "R. WITTINGHAM/N. YORK"; the matching tools consisting of a shovel and tongs each with urn-turned finials
26in. high, the andirons; 32in. long, the shovel; 32in. long, the tongs (4)
