The neo-classical case with pineapple finial above a stepped and moulded cornice, with decorative ormolu frames to front and sides with fleur-de-lys spandrels, with lanceolate leaf cast moulding above plinth centred by a radiant mask, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic quarters and inner concentric calendar ring, signed Fertbaur in Wien, strike/silent lever by I, pierced and chased ormolu main hands and blued steel calendar hand, the short duration movement with circular plates joined by four ringed and tapering pillars, triple barrels with silk suspension to anchor escapement, strike on one bell and quarters on further bell, both with crescent moon hammers, trip repeat; pendulum
