A FINE AND RARE KOREAN INLAID CELADON BOX AND COVER
KORYO DYNASTY, 12TH 13TH CENTURY
Of circular form, the cover finely inlaid in white slip on the pale celadon ground with a moth in a medallion, surrounded by chrysanthemum florets, all within a band of wave-scrolls and key-pattern around the rim, the base of the box with two spur marks
1¾ in. (4.2 cm.) diam.
