WANLI (1573-1619)
Modelled as an elephant supporting a tall cylindrical vase forming the neck of the vessel and its trunk the spout, painted with a rectangular saddle-cloth and bands of tassels around the neck and the haunches, the vase with flowering branches
8 in. (22.2 cm.) high.
