Weranja Sutra from the Majjkima-Nikaya, India, dated to 1773

420 x 60 mm. The palm leaves inscribed with text in Pali, the opening leaf decorated with circular motifs, the inner covers painted with the Buddha, bodhisattvas, leaves and circular motifs. With minor splitting and wear to edges of palm leaves, and minor losses to polychromy on boards.
