BYZANTINE ICONS. Apostles Peter and Paul. Macedonian, late 16th, early 17th century.
Two panels each approximately (215 x 135 mm). Painted in various colors on a leather covered wooden boards and probably used as a binding (some rubbing and chipping); in a red velvet frame.
Peter and Paul, against a red and blue background with a golden dome, represented half-length, in three-quarter position, facing each other, the first bearing the keys, the other the Gospels. (2)
