(X1-8 with marginal burn marks). 16th century French calf, large central double delta hexagram in painted black and ruled in gold, floral tooling in compartments and at top and bottom of star, initials "IM" at head of sides, within a black painted border and gilt fillets, gilt edges (book block becoming loose, joints splitting, light staining).
