8o (209 x 145 mm). Title within woodcut border, woodcuts in text. (Some occasional pale dampstaining.) Contemporary Italian cuir bouilli and cuir ciselé black leather binding, hardened and cut, sides and spine decorated with a large floral pattern incorporating lions's heads at the angles, the foliage design in relief against a punch-dotted ground, the joints and board edges with dark brown goatskin bands stitched on (some very minor rubbing). Provenance: Baron Horace de Landau (1824-1903, bookplate); purchased from Emil Offenbacher, 5 June 1958.

A FINE ITALIAN CUT-LEATHER DECORATED BINDING. Each side bears the same general design, with subtle differences, for instance in the extreme central carving of the design's roundel.
