2o (316 x 221 mm). Woodcut device on title and last leaf. 18th-century Italian decorated paper over boards, each cover with two oval views repeated, the spaces in between filled with floral designs, mottled paper spine. Provenance: purchased from Emil Offenbacher, 25 November 1963.

A beautiful decorated-paper binding, the vividly colored scenes showing a landscape with a tower, a bridge spanning a river, a temple against a hilly background, a landscape with figures crossing a river and a viaduct, and finally the famous covered bridge of Bassane which is the subject of a popular Italian folksong.
