The Imperial Library at Vienna owned the woodblocks of 122 of these scenes from the lives of the saints, three of which had become unusable. The remaining 119 blocks were printed in 1799 from the original blocks, which had been commissioned by Emperor Maximilian I. Brunet I:1404.
