4o (258 x 198 mm). 11 pages. Title vignette and headpiece after C.N. Cochin by B.L. Prevost and 4 engraved plates after M.L. Challe by Martinet. Contemporary French black boards, arms of the Dauphin in silver on each cover, dolphins in the corners, two ornamental borders around the sides, one in the Greek style, the other formed of fleur-de-lys (silver mostly oxidized, some light rubbing). Provenance: purchased from Emil Offenbacher, 1954.

Laid in to this copy are five variant states of Prevost's title vignette, as well as a separate impression of the headpiece on \Kp\k2r.
The binding is an uncommon funeral binding of black boards with silver ornaments, more commonly executed in morocco and only very rarely in boards.
