Contemporary white silk, covers with an embroidered ornamental border of red and silver thread studded with red and silver sequins, each cover with a watercolor pastoral painting [girl with a basket of flowers on the front, a boy with a flower pot on the back], smooth spine with painted floral decoration, edges gilt (some light rubbing to spine); contemporary gilt calf pull off case (lacking lower strip, some wear). Provenance: purchased from Emil Offenbacher, 7 May 1959.
