Engraved title-page printed in ochre, 8 engraved plates, 2 printed in ochre and 6 printed in green and ochre, engraved initials printed in blue, decorative borders, head- and tail-pieces. Contemporary mottled calf, spine gilt (some slight peeling to covers, light rubbing). Provenance: purchased from Emil Offenbacher, 10 March 1959.
FIRST EDITION. The plates depict animals and pastoral scenes and are strikingly printed in colors. Soldini also wrote a history of the Reformation and a study of Florentine philosophy. Brunet V:427.
