Engraved portrait frontispiece. 18th-century Armenian metalwork binding, a wide silver border decorated with instruments of the Passion on the front and a wide border encorporating embossed portraits of the evangelists and saints, over red velvet, the front cover with a central medallion under glass containing an emblem and inscription in Armenian surrounded by rays of silver gilt, the back cover with a similar medallion containing a portrait of the Virgin, spine embossed with floral arabesques and an inscription in Armenian (some light wear). Provenance: purchased from Emil Offenbacher 26 December 1963.
