CIRCA 1745, GILDER'S 1. MARK TO BOTH, POT WITH PRESSNUMMER 23
Of cylindrical form, each side painted after Watteau with figures in woods, one with an arbour, the other with a herm, the green branch spout and handle socket both with flower terminals, below a Gitterwerk border at the shoulder, the cylindrical flat cover with two vignettes flanking a flowering branch finial, gilt band borders (slight chipping to terminals, some slight wear)
