CIRCA 1750, FAINT BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS
The shepherd in a mauve tricorn hat, puce-lined flowered jacket and yellow breeches, holding an instrument under his left arm, a lamb and a dog at his feet, the shepherdess in pink hat, puce bodice and flowered skirt, with flowers in her apron and holding a nosegay, a lamb at her feet, both standing on gilt-edged scroll-moulded mound bases (his right little finger and instrument pipe lacking, chip to hair ribbon, ears of sheep, one ear of dog, leaf and one reed, shepherdess's right little finger and tip of instrument lacking, chips to hair bow, cuffs, flowers and one ear of sheep)
