A CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN GILT-METAL MOUNTED OCTAGONAL SNUFF-BOX AND AN ASSOCIATED COVER
SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY
Modelled as a recumbent brown fox on a circular grassy base, the octagonal sides painted with flower-sprays, the moulded circular cover painted with a bouquet of flowers, the interior with a basket of flowers on a ledge (extensive wear to enamels on back and head of fox, fox's back with small firing fault, slight wear to cover)
