Shaped oblong, sides chased with foliate scrolls, the hinged cover similarly chased and applied with oval cartouche within a gem-set border, enclosing a portrait of a gentleman wearing a white stock surrounded by six rose-cut gems, the base with foliage border with engine-turned panel, marked on interior with maker's mark only
