MARK OF RICHARD SIBLEY, LONDON, 1826
The kettle inverted pear shaped, repoussé chased with foliage scroll and flowers, the rim heightened with masks, each side with a cartouche, one engraved with a coat-of-arms, the other with an inscription, the hinged cover with a swan finial, with a swing handle, the stand with an openwork foliage, flower and fruit swag skirt and three feet, supporting the central lamp, marked under kettle, inside cover, on finial, on handle, on stand and on lamp, the kettle and lamp stamped 'MAKEPEACE LONDON'

The inscription reads 'Presented by Lady Grey Egerton to PHILLIP HUMBERSTON ESQ as a Memorial of the Esteem & Regard of his Departed Friend SIR JOHN GREY EGERTON BART OBT 24TH MAY 1825 .
The arms are those of Humbertston impaling another
