Lot Essay

Daniel Finch was a British parliamentarian, Privy councilor, and staunch supporter of the Church of England. He succeeded to the Earldom of Winchelsea and Nottingham in 1729. His fourth child from his second marriage to Anne Hatton (d.1743) was Essex Finch (d.1721), who married Sir Roger Mostyn, 3rd Bt. in 1703.
