THE FIRST CIRCA 1600; THE SECOND EARLY 18TH CENTURY; THE LAST 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The first with tapering blade of hollow diamond section flattened for the thumb, iron 'crab-claw' hilt and the grip retaining its original wire binding (pommel associated); the second with very slender blade of stiff diamond section, ricasso grooved for the thumb and plain iron hilt incorporating a triangular guard; and the last with folding leaf-shaped blade and brass-mounted hilt with horn grip-scales
