The circular base with a shell-capped scroll handle and a spool-shaped socket, engraved with a crest, with a later detachable nozzle, London, 1824 and a metalware extinguisher, marked under base and on nozzle

The arms are those of Davenport quartering another impaling Davenport quartering another, for Davies Davenport (1723-1757) and his wife Phoebe (d.1757), daughter and eventually co-heir of Richard Davenport of Calveley), whom he married in 1755.
