AFTER THE ANTIQUE, WORKSHOP OF BENEDETTO BOSCHETTI, MID 19TH CENTURY
Depicted standing in contrapposto with his right arm outstretched and holding a strygil beneath it; on an integral circular bronze plinth with tree trunk support, stamped to the reverse 'B. BOSCHETTI ROMA' and to the front 'ATHLETE'; cylindrical black and red marble pedestal; medium brown surface with traces of a dark brown patina; minor chips to the pedestal
