Twelve mounted albumen print photographs [N.d. but circa 1872], (the majority 198 x 250mm approx.) on 13 card mounts (307 x 247mm), together with three smaller albumen print photographs of riverside houses, Japan, a Buddha and Chinese Temple, on 1 card mount.

The fine early Hong Kong views include a view of the City Hall which gives a terminus post quem for the photographs of 1869 (when it was built).

Possibly a group of photographs from Floyd's Victoria Photographic Studio in Hong Kong, which typically provided photographs of Hong Kong and environs as well as views further afield, including Macao and Canton. Floyd's clients chose images, for which title labels were supplied (the title labels are here incorporated in the negatives) which would then be mounted in their own customised albums. (15)
