The 11in. square silvered regulator dial signed in cyrilic T. Moser &Co. St. Petersburg and wound through the recessed Roman hour ring, all hands of blued steel, the movement with arched rectangular plates with four double screwed pillars, wheel train with five crossings and jewelled in screwed châtons, maintaining power, deadbeat escapement with adjustable pallets, fine beat adjustment to the crutch, the steel and zinc gridiron pendulum with weight jar and massive brass-cased bob, delicate pulley and original brass-cased small lead weight, the mahogany case with bevelled glass to the long door and small windows to the sides

Johann Heinrich Moser was born in 1805 and apprenticed in Le Locle between 1824-1827. Between 1827 and 1848 he worked in St Petersburg and then Schaffhausen. He died in 1874
