The white enamel Roman dial with ormolu hands, movement with thick circular brass plates, chain fusee and spring barrel for the going train with deadbeat escapement and brass and steel gridiron pendulum, the strike train with chain fusee and spring barrel striking on two bells mounted to the backplate signed J.H. Borrell London within border engraving, the top of the movement plates scooped out to accomodate the musical automaton movement with chain fusee and spring barrrel, 8cm. long pin barrel with indirect drive to the twisted glass rod automaton fountain surmounting the black painted drum head case with pierced ormolu panels to the sides, the clock case raised on slender bronze patinated cabriole legs with ormolu floral swags, on a concave moulded bronze base and gilt-wood turntable plinth
