A George III mahogany hooded wall clock

The shallow arched silvered dial signed Ellicott London above the Roman and Arabic chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands, strike/silent lever by chapter III, the movement with five pillars, twin fusees and spring barrels with gut lines, verge escapement with knife-edge suspended pendulum, rack strike on a later bell above the plates, secured to an oak seatboard with a steel bolt into the central base pillar, the shallow arched hood with three brass ball finials on reeded pedestals and with pierced mahogany frets, brass-reeded stop chamfer angles, the mahogany wall bracket sliding forward to reveal the key compartment
