George Graham, London, No. 5373. Circa 1730
The white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with beetle and poker hands and ropetwist band, the movement with gilt plates signed on the backplate Geo: Graham London 5373 with foliate pierced and engraved balance cock with female mask, punch-numbered 5373 on the underside of the cock, steel three-arm balance to cylinder escapement, pierced vase-shaped pillars, chain fusee and spring barrel, the dial plate stamped 5373, gilt cuvette signed Geo.Graham London and scratch-numbered 5373 to the underside, the consular repousée case depicting the legend of Orpheus, case stamped JW for John Ward
