FIVE IRON TSUBA AND A SENTOKU TSUBA
Edo Period (17th-19th Century)
An oval iron plate chiselled in low relief with rocks and flowers, signed Yurensai Kiboku; a mokkogata sentoku plate carved as flower petals inlaid in gilt hirozogan with a mantis and cart wheels, shakudo fukurin, unsigned, Umetada School; a round iron tsuba carved in takabori with a winged dragon flying over rough waves, some surface rust, signed Yoshimasa Saku; a round iron tsuba with a sleeping dog in shibuichi takazogan, signed Arai Norimasa; an oval iron plate carved with a dragonfly, signed Toyo-o and kao; and a mokkogata iron ishimeji swordsmith's tsuba with flowers in silver nunomezogan, the plate partially silvered, signed Yamashiro ju Kensho Daido (Omichi)
