There are thought to have been several generations signing Yoshinori in Kyoto from the Nanbokucho through the early Muromachi period. At some time during the middle Muromachi period the school moved to Izumi. This light blade was obviously intended to be mounted as a tachi, and possibly for an elderly man. Despite the forging faults on the ura, the sword is of fine quality and well justifies the fine quality 'en suite' mounting by Kamo Yasuhiro.
