Takamura Toyochika (1890-1974)
The pale brown patination with a further layer of pale green patination imitating archaic Chinese bronze, cast in two pieces with a bowl-shaped lower part and a dome-shaped upper part meeting to form a crisp shoulder-line, the lower part plain, the upper part cast with four equally spaced tsubomi, the rim of the mouth angled downwards, the recessed base with a cast mark Toyochika, with fitted wood box bearing the signature and seal of Takamura Toyochika
