FIVE TONKOTSU [TOBACCO BOX]

The first porcelain, with a netsuke in the form of a pipe, decorated in underglaze blue with floral motifs, the tonkotsu similarly decorated with floral design; the second decorated in yellow, blue, green, red, white and black cloisonné enamels, with a design of scrolling foliage and flowers, within a yellow border, pewter rims; the third a brass mokkogata shape tonkotsu; the fourth, lacquer, a tonkotsu decorated in gilt and red hiramaki-e against a roironuri ground with a pommegranate on a branch, hard stone ojime; the fifth aogai [shell] tonkotsu with lacquer cover, with a mother of pearl manju (5)
