A late 19th-Century English homoeopathic set,
entitled THE NEW ERA BIOCHEMIC SET, produced by The New Era Treatment Co. Ltd. Cecil House, Holboln Viaduct, London E.C.1, with advice on inside of lid from the 'Biochemic Calendar', containing twelve screw-top bottles of medicine with pink paper labels, in a leatherette-covered case -- 15.9 x 18.8cm. (6¼ x 7 3/8in.) with accompanying 'Biochemic Guide' and separate 'Biochemic Handbook'; a late 19th-Century case of medicines designed by DR E.A. KIRBY., the leatherette-covered case with velvet lining, fitted to contain eight phials with cork stoppers with ivorine tops and gilt paper labels and four small bottles with ground stoppers (one missing) with similiar labels, a glass container and two small paper pill boxes -- 16.3 x 10cm. (6 3/8 x 3 7/8in.) and an associated handbook; and a mid 19th-Century red leather wallet of MEDICATED GELATINE LAMELS by Savory & Moore, Ltd., LONDON, containing eleven packets of medicine in gelatine lamel form with instructions for each and a booklet of recommended doses and uses for medicine.
