A 19th-Century lacquered and oxidised-brass botantist's simple microscope,
unsigned, with double rack and pinion adjustment to the lens arm, the stage with slide clips, aperture disc and swivel plano-concave mirror, with shaped back supporting the stage to the base, with four eyepieces (one missing its screw-on lens) numbered 1, 2, 3, 5, stage bull's-eye condensor, spare lens arm and other items, in a fitted mahogany case -- 21 x 12.5 x 19cm (8¼ x 4 7/8 x 7½in.)
