with mahogany end-pieces, impressed paper covering and ivory-handled contact adjustment screw, mounted on a mahogany base with four brass-mounted glass contact columns with brass coils within, on four faceted glass feet, the underside of the base removable to access the wiring beneath, the recess packed with sheets of paper cut from a 19th-century French periodical -- 30cm.
