An early 20th-Century American tellurion,
the 3-inch diameter terrestrial globe TRIPPENSEE Planetarium Company Detroit, Mich, made up of twelve hand-coloured printed gores with graduated ecliptic, horizon and colure and nation states variously coloured, held over gears and chain to the small black/white painted moonball, held on an ebonised wooden arm with inset compass and chain to central column mounted with a large brass Sunball and a wire arm to a black/white painted ball for Mercury, raised on a turned ebonised column to a brass-coloured stepped circular base, marked with the seasons, months and houses of the Zodiac -- 74cm.
